Chairman’s Report

AELTC

Subsequent to the decisions made late last year by Merton (for 6-4) and Wandsworth (against 7-0), on the AELTC planning application, the GLA decided to take on the application and act as the planning authority. Based on informal conversation with two members of their planning team, we gather that it is very unlikely that any hearing will take place until after the Mayoral elections in May. The GLA planning team has a lot to do and no doubt there will be discussions between them and the AELTC in the interim. We will be having further discussions with the planning team simply to ensure that we are fully aware of the timetable. We understand that we will get three weeks notice of the hearing, and supporters and objectors both will get a maximum of fifteen minutes for oral presentations.

In the meantime we urge residents to register their objections if they have not already.
